MySQL – TRUNCATE Table

MySQL TRUNCATE TABLE statement is a tool that is handy for tactfully eliminating data from a table. When you apply the TRUNCATE TABLE statement, the structure of a table in terms of its columns and rows will remain, while its data will be deleted.

Syntax:

TRUNCATE TABLE table_name;

Example:

In this example, we will truncate the table “employee”

mysql> TRUNCATE TABLE employee;
