What is Kali Linux?

Kali Linux comes with around 600+ preinstalled tools which will help you in securing your website, webapp or may be your own server. The first release of Kali Linux was dated on 13 March 2013. If your interested in Cyber Security, then Kali Linux is a must have Operating System in your personal computer. So if you want to install Kali Linux on your existing Windows Operating System, you can do it with the help of Virtual Box.
What is Virtual Box?
Virtual Box is tool developed by Oracle which allows user to run multiple Operating System on a host Operating System. It is a user-friendly, open source tool widely used by developers. This tool can be easily installed on Windows, Linux & Mac-OS.
How to install Kali Linux on Virtual Box?
First download the latest virtual box from official site.
then download Kali Linux from official site.
#1 : Install Virtual Box (just run the .exe file and follow the instructions)
#2 : Open Virtual Box
#3 : Click on new. Add on the System name, type as Linux & Version as Debian as shown below.
#4 : On the next window select the amount of RAM to be allocated for the Kali OS (Half the total RAM is good to go)
#5 :In the next step you need to allocate storage for the system. Select on the second option “Create a virtual hard disk now”
#6 : Next again select the second option “VHD (Virtual Hard Disk)”.
#7 : Once again select the second option “Fixed Size”.
#8 : On the next widow select on the size for the storage for the system (10 GB is enough for minimal installation but you can select as per your requirements).
Note : Creation of VHD may take some time Stay Patient & Calm !!!
#9 : After the setup of the system click on the settings of the Machine.
#10 : On the next window select on the storage and browse the iso (image file) of Kali Linux & press “OK” in the end.
#11: Browse the ISO images Downloaded kali Linux
#12 :Now start the machine
#13: After start of the machine select on the Graphical Install and shown below
#14 :Now follow the instructions, Select the language.
#15 :Configure the Network.
#16 :Add the partition type and click on continue.
#17 :once partition is done, click on continue.
#18: click on Install the GRUB Boot Loader and click on continue.
wait for to install Kali Linux.
#19 : Now the machine restarts automatically if not restarted it and GRUB Boot loader will popup, Select Kali GNU/Linux.
